Ganapati Sthapati
Temple architect V. Ganapati Sthapati was bestowed with Padma Bhushan award in 2009. He sculpted India’s epitome of statues- Thiruvalluvar Statue in Kanyakumari. Mr. Sthapati was also the genius behind design and construction of Valluvar Kottam. The famous statue of Kannagi-a character from Tamil epic Silappathikaram was sculpted by Mr. Sthapati.
